This Privacy Policy explains how IPQuality.org ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and handles information when you use our IP analysis service. We have written this policy to be straightforward β we are a lookup tool, not a data business.
When you submit an IP address for analysis, that address is forwarded to our data provider, IP QualityScore (IPQS), to generate the results you see. We do not permanently store the IP addresses you query. A temporary record of recent lookups is held in memory solely to power the "Recent Lookups" display on the homepage; this record is lost when the server restarts and is never written to disk or a database.
When you visit IPQuality.org, your IP address is visible to our server as part of normal web traffic. It is written to server access logs in standard format (similar to nginx or Apache logs) for operational purposes such as diagnosing errors, monitoring abuse, and understanding traffic volume. These logs are retained for a limited period and are not shared with third parties for commercial purposes.
If you use our Contact page, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide in order to respond to your enquiry. This information is transmitted directly to our support inbox and is not stored in any database on our servers.
IPQuality.org does not use cookies, tracking pixels, analytics scripts, or any third-party advertising technology. We do not build profiles of visitors or track you across sessions or other websites.
All IP analysis is powered by IP QualityScore (IPQS). When you request an IP lookup, the queried IP address is transmitted to IPQS's API. IPQS operates under their own Privacy Policy. We do not transmit any personal information about you to IPQS β only the IP address being analysed.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party analytics or advertising service. No third-party scripts are loaded on this site.
We do not operate a database of user data. Server access logs are retained for up to 30 days for operational purposes, after which they are deleted. Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to resolve your enquiry. No IP lookup results are stored persistently.
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights regarding your personal data under laws such as the GDPR (European Union), UK GDPR, or CCPA (California). Because we collect minimal personal data and do not build user profiles, most of these rights have limited practical application to our service. However, you may contact us at any time to:

IPQuality.org is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
